Upgrade to 8.0 problems

We had HR and Payroll SORT OF installed on 7.5... that is, we never really used it, so we're not really sure if we had it completely set up correctly.

We are now trying to upgrade 7.5 to 8.0 and we're getting all kinds of errors related to HR and Payroll.

What's the easiest way to just remove/uninstall HR and Payroll so that we can proceed with a clean upgrade?
