I sure hope there is an easy answer for this one.

I just upgraded from 76400 to 76400a. Now none of my Flexibility code works or is accessible. I am getting this error when I open up any screen that has Flex code behind it:

[red]Fatal error in VBAConnect. Init function. Microsoft VBA disabled. To restart VBA please shut down the application and try again.

VBAConnect.Init
Error: 429
Error Text: ActiveX component can't create object[/red]

The VBA icon is available but I cannot pull the code up to even look at it. Also the macola7.ini file has the line: “VBA-OFF=NO”. I also tried to reinstall the Flex client without success.

I get the same error if I go into a screen that has no Flex, then hit the VBA icon to create it.

If anyone has faced this before, I would appreciate a solution. i have already sent this to Exact tech support but I am hoping to not have to wait that long for an answer.

Off the top of my head, either a dll/ocx is the wrong version or unregistered.

In the Macola Shared, Windows\System, Windows\Ssytem32 and the flex folder, run the following command

for %1 in (*.dll, *.ocx) do regsvr32 /s %1

I had this same problem on the 400a patch.
Exact gave me a new vbaconnect.exe to paste in the macsql directory to fix the issue.

The vbaconnect.exe they gave me was actually an older version. They said they also saw this error in testing after the patch.

Contact them for a new vabconnect.exe and your problem should be solved.
