Ok.. I am running 3.1.64 And I want to Upgrade to the Latest 3.2.17

Any Advise?? It looks like I have to upgrade to 3.1.64 first. Does this should right to everyone?
So the way I see it here is what I have to do.

1. Uninstall Admin Software 3.1.64 Manager 5.1.64
2. Install 3.1.65
3. Perform upgrade to the IP Office its self.
4. Uninstall Software
5. Install 3.2.17 Software
6. Upgrade IP Office
7. Upgrade Clients Software.

I also have 2 Remote Sites that I will need to upgrade.
And 1 Voicemail Pro box.

Thanks for any Help.

Dont forget that an IP406 will require an interinm upgrade to V3.1(999) but otherwise you are correct.

(The upgrade from V3.164 to V3.165 is probably not necessary but Avaya would not give you any garantees)

Is there any reason you want to upgrade?

although therre are a number of nice features in V3.2 I would still stick with the standard advice of "if it aint broke dont fix it!

Or if you want to make life easier you could always just download the bin files then upgrade to 3.1.65, then 3.1.999 then 3.2 that way you only have to install admin software once.

The reason for the upgrade.. Twinning..

I will look again.. But I don't recall seeing 3.1.999

So.. Let me make sure I understand this..Should I upgrade the Admin Software First.. And use it to push the Bin Upgrades?

Thanks

Yes, you can upgrade your Admin software and use the 3.2 Manager to peform the upgrades.

3.1.999 is located in the 3.2 Manager directory in the V406v2 folder. There are also files for upgrading 403 and 406v1 in their folders.

maintenance release is scheduled for 13/10/2006.

We have been advised not to use 3.2 and are currently installing new sites at 3.1.65. Looking forward to the Maint Release

(Remember - If it aint broke - fix it till it is.)

We have upgraded to 3.2 on all our sites using twinning since this had issues in 3.1.

Otherwise there is probably no hurry in upgrading.
