I have inherited two baystack 350-24T switches. The last user informed me that they had performed a SW upgrade to the switches that had failed. I can access the switches via the console port (cannot via telnet) (cannot Ping to them or from them)nor can I TFTP a new boot image or a new agent imagine onto the switchs. The IP addresses, the vlans, all necessary settings are there in the switch but still can't use the TFTP function to correct the failed upgrade. Is there anyway around this that anyone knows of?

If you can't ping the switch there isn't much hope for TFTP.
One thing that you should double check is that your plugged into an port which is a member of a VLAN that is set as the management VLAN. You should also look at the port status and statistics for the port your plugged into, which could provide some clues as to what parts of the switch are working.
