I'm being asked to quote an upgrade on BCM 3.6 to 4.0. I have done them before and know about how long it takes and what my price should be be. My question is that they are asking for upgrade of the RAID and send a BCM 400 RAID Upgrade Kit part number NTAB3418E5 and redundant power supply upgrade kit Part Number NTAB3420E5. Can any one give me an idea on the level of difficulty that these upgrades are and about how long they each take.

I have upgraded a BCM400 4.0 to Raid HD and RPS. Approx. 2-3 Hours if you are familiar with BCM400 in general. If not add an hour or 2.

You can definitely do the RAID upgrade in 2 hours or less, of actual work. Then maybe 15 to 30 mins. for the drives to mirror.

I'm very familiar with BCM 400 and BCm 400 upgrades, but a RAID upgrade is new to me. Thanks for the input

Do your 3.6 to 4.0 upgrade first(about 1.5 to 2 hours)then about 30 minutes to install the RAID Kit and replace the fan.No need to wait for the mirroring to complete,i usually ask the customer the next day if the Raid status shows completed.
