Hi there,

I have updated a 3.23 installation on FC2 to 4.0.24 but now I cannot find any of the executables (mysql, mysqladmin, mysqldump, etc..)

If I query the service it appears to be running but obviously I have no way of accessing the server.

Any idea?

Thanks

Life is what happens when you are making other plans.

Use: rpm -ql name-of-the-rpms-you-used to get a listing of the files that were installed and where they are.

However, I'm betting you installed from source and allowed it to use the default installation base of /usr/local. You should stick to the RPMs unless you know what you're doing.

P.S. Why would you even bother going to 4.0 when 4.1 has been in production release for months?
