Hi guys,

Just a quick one. I've got a server with ARCserve 2000 Advanced Edition installed on and have just purchased the ARCserve v9 Upgrade option.

When I run the upgrade installation, will it preserve all of the existing backup jobs and stuff?

I don't want to interrupt or lose our current schedules.

Hi
It should preserve all of the existing backup jobs and stuff jus in case before you do the upgrade.

1- Either saves your jobs as Scrips .asx
to do this go to manager-->Job status
and click on save as and save all your important jobs as asx.
OR copy the folder from Arcserve path 00000001.qsd to save palce

2-copy the folder from Arcserve path DATABASE to save palce

now you can do upgrading without any fear of lossing anything since you can go backup anytime to your old configuration

regards
mohamdr
