We are currently using Ver 6 of Crystal ( Stop Laughing !! )
I want to automate a few reports I manually run every day. Browsing the web, it looks like there are a few freeware programs that might do the trick, but of course they dont run on Ver 6. ( Don't know why, looking at our receipt, the program in ONLY 11 years old ! )

If we upgrade to the latest version of Crystal, how many licenses do we need ?
Crystal is currently installed on our server, and only one workstation can access it at a time. Which is fine ! We are a very small shop.

Are we eligible for the " upgrade " version ?

Can the current version of Crystal open Ver 6 reports ?

I e-mailed these questions to SAP, but thought I would try here also.

You might be able to keep Crystal 6 but use it with Crystal Enterprise, which runs things automatically.

This is just a guess. I've not used either and compatability might be a problem. But since Crystal will read older formats (at least for 8.5) and then save it in the current format, you might need no more than one new Crystal and one Crystal Enterprise. Or just one new Crystal and use it with the freeware.
