Hi all,

I have a dead NTAK36AC and a working NTAK36AA (the NTAK36AA has seemingly fried bus transceivers so not going to be easy to fix) complete with keycode and security device.

If I were to transplant the security device from the NTAK36AC and use the code printed on the NTAK36AC, after acquiring the 2.0 upgrade card...could I then successfully upgrade the NTAK36AA to run the Miran 2.0 software?

I found this record below which is related to your problem.

Miran card NTAG36AA running software 1.53
CS1000E upgraded to Rls 4.5 ....So the Miran needs to be on Rls 2
Can't get the Miran to accept the Rls 2 software (2.0.17c.mms)
When browsing to the file get 'invalid Upgrade File'

Nortel Say
Informed customer that the NTAG36AA (Miran 1) would not be supported on 4.5. NTAG36AC (Miran II) and newer releases would be supported.

So for Rls 4.50 > we need NTAG36AB, AC

I'm not sure if the keycodes generated for either a Miran 1/2 would work on the other release.
