I have bought a new server running netware 4.11 to replace
my old Netware 4.10 server. What is the easiest way of doing this. With as little down time as possible. I run Arcserve on both servers and raid 5 config on the servers.

Easiest way to do this. Make sure you have a R/W replica on your 4.11 server. Make it the Master. Use arcserve and backup the data on your 4.10, and then do a complete restore to the 4.11. Change your login scripts to reflect the new server and make sure your groups and user rights are associated to the new server. I would disable login on the 4.10 server after the migration to prevent users from going to the old server. When this is up and running and users can access all their data I would uninstall NDS from the 4.10 server and turn it off.

Thats about the easiest way I can think of for the time being..

I work with NT servers, NDS for NT as well.<br>
