I have a nortel contivity 1050. As I understand it, it has a 300mhz Celeron processor. I notice the unit is pretty slow. It appears to be the 66Mhz Bus, PGA, Slot 370 version. I believe that generation goes up to 533mhz, which is still 66mhz bus, with a different multiplier.

Can I upgrade the unit with a 533Mhz Celeron? Will it work? My memory of that generation is a little fuzzy, but I believe back then we used jumpers on the board to control multiplier.

Thanks!

Brian

Not that I am aware of. The management interface is typically slow on the 10XX units as most resources are given to other functions of the device, except for management functionality.
