Upgrade norstar 032 with pri from 6.0 to 6.1

Norstar 032 6.0 with pri keycode and would like to upgrade to 6.1 so the t series phones will work properly. it's been a while since I've done this and I'm not sure if I'll lose the pri keycode doing the upgrade.

I do have the keycode that was originally used for the pri.
Can I upgrade to 6.1 by pulling 6.0 software card then insert 6.1 software card?
Will this mess up the keycode or change the sys Id?

Upgrading from 6.0 to 6.1 is a simple matter of powering off and swapping the cards. Just make sure your current software isn't Canadian (CDA) or you will cold start the system. This happened to a customer of mine recently who went from 5.0 (CDA) to 5.0-XC (NA). If you're going from NA to NA you'll be fine.

You would need 6.1MR which is a fix to the buggy 6.1, best to go to 7.1 if you can.
