Upgrade & new server

First off what kind of server or requirements should I bee looking for to run: Server 2003 enterprise, Exchange 2003 enterprise, Share Point 2001, Project Server, Business Solutions and CRM standard.

Second My Co. when I came in has everything was on one server and the c: it so full it is not running correctly so that is why I want to come to the co with everything outlined why we need another server. Now when I get this new server what is the easiest way to move all of exchange over to the new server? should I do a backup and restore onto the new server? The current server is running windows 2000 server and exchange 2000 server and the new will be windows server 2003. what is the best and fastest way to do this I want to do it over a weekend so I need to make sure I have everything covered.

The best answer we could possibly give you is the "depending on your situation" answer. How many users are at your company? Are you going to implement Roaming Profiles? How many concurrent connections do you forsee using SharePoint?

These are all questions you should discuss with management at which direction they would like to go. Don't forget to include growth potential. You don't want to get a mid-grade server if you know you won't be able to replace it for 3-4 years. You also don't want to go high end and spend money on a system that hasn't even used 10% of it's capability.

Will it be possible to keep the existing server and have the new server as an addition? It is not a good idea to have all resources held on one server simply because having all resources hosted on one server represents a single point of failure as far as your company is concerned.

This also gives you some leeway as far as getting the new server up and running: if you can install the OS and configure it as a second server in your domain during office hours, the only out of hours time that would be needed is things that involve taking resources offline, or moving file/print shares from one server to another for example.

Right now we have 20 users on this networks and a good possibility to grow to about 30. No roaming profiles. probably about 20 users at one time in sharepoint once totally implemented and rolled out for the start of it about 10 that will probably be on it for the first year.

IM going to keep the current server as a file server but move sharepoint, exchange, and a few other things to the new. I definitely want to have at least two servers running in here and would love to implement roaming profiles that would be the best thing for this CO.

There is a lot I want to do here but limited in funds and such so I cant go and roll all of this out immediately wish I could though. It would be easier for me.
