Hard to say. Have you purged any of your pervasive data? Obe of the characteristics of a btrieve file is that it never shrinks until you rebuild it. So if you have been purging but never rebuilding, what is 2.2GB may well be less than that.
Also remember you can start a conversion, then add as many workstations as you like to the conversion process to speed the whole thing up. The most workstations I have ever used doing this is 15.
The conversion starts with the largest file in Macola - usually IMINVTRX.btr - and converts it to SQL. As soon as this is launched, go to another workstation and launch the conversion and it will ask "do you want to join the conversion in progress?" or words to that effect. Answer yes and it picks up with the 2nd largest .btr file. Add as many workstations as you need.
You probably need to do a test conversion anyway, so I would take up a couple of your larger databases and test this over a weekend, to see how long it takes. Then just do a little math on the total # of GB of all companies to estimate a time.
To back up a bit, with 25 companies I WOULD NOT do what I mentioned before - upgrading directly to 76400 SQL from 75x pervasive.
However going to 76400a should be considered a must IMHO.
Do you have crystal reports, F9, Starship, MS Access applications or Flexibility projects involved? If so these may or more likely will need to be upgraded as well. This is a pretty big project. Are you getting your Macola reseller or regional office to help you?
