Upgrade IP-Set Firmware on BCM or SRG

1. Download IP-Set Firmware from

http://www.nortelnetworks.com

2. Enable Drive-Share for BCM Drive F:
3. Copy Firmware .BIN File to:
\\<ip_of_bcm>\DriveF$\Program Files\Nortel Networks\UNISTIM Terminal Proxy Server\
4. Replace the *Phase2.rom Files with the .BIN File
CAREFUL: DO NOT REPLACE THE FILES WITHOUT THE "Phase2" in it.
5. Restart UTPS Service on BCM/SRG

Why not just run the BCM patch/update wizard for the phone firmware that does this for you?

Not all firmware upgrades are available as BCM/SRG Patch executable (D.89 for example).

Ahh. That makes more sense. Didn't know there was a D89 firmware out there - most recent one I knew of was D88 for the Phase 2 sets.
