Upgrade Hardware on Domino 4.6

Hi Guys

I will be attempting to upgrade our old Compaq Server with a New DL380 shortly for our old Notes 4.6 Web Server.
Whats the best way to get the data over to the new server with a minimum of Fuss without lossing anything. Yes they are going to upgrade the version of Notes, but not at this time. We also use Verisign Site certificates for our users as this is a secure site - Is there any special consideration for the Verisign stuff.
I have upgaded many servers over the years, but I do not know much about this old version of Notes.
Any Suggestions would be much appreiated.
The old Compaq Server is a 2500 with a raid array.
Some of my thougts are "backup restore" or run "Ghost" and image the box, but there may be others.

Hello David,

I would complete the following:

-Install and config the new box
-Install Domino on the new box (same install paths)
-Down the old Domino server (quit @ console)
-Rename the data folder to data_old on the new box and notes.ini to notes.bak
-Copy the entire data folder and notes.ini over to the proper location on the new box (robocopy works well)
-Launch Domino
-After a week of testing, I would also plan to upgrade to a newer version

You may also have to give the machine the same computername and IP as the old server and "retire" it.

Sounds Great - I will keep the Computer name and IP the same and just power down the old one for same keeping for a week or so for safe keeping.
