I have a DL380 server that currently has 2 72gb hard drives. We purchases 300gb hard drives to replace the existing drives. Can someone give me some information on how to go about doing this and is this a very difficult task? Thanks

What OS are you using and are the drives in a RAID configuration? If using RAID 1 then, yes. If RAID 0 or no RAID, then it will be more difficult.

Here are some links to past posts regarding this same or similar issues:

I don't know what the RAID config is. Could you tell me how I can find that out? Thanks again for your time.

If you're running Windows, you should be able to run the Array Configuration Utility (ACU). Look for it under the Programs\HP System Tools (or something like that); that's assuming it is installed.

(This is from memory so it may be a bit off)
Select the array controller on the left (if you only have one it should default to it)

Look at the logical drive (middle panel). Next to logical drive, it should tell you the size and RAID level, if not select "More Information" from the right.
