Upgrade from Solaris 2.6 to 8 - C++ Compiler issues

We are planning an upgrade from solaris 2.6 to 8 and was wondering if the C++ compiler we currently use will require upgrading. The compiler usered is Sun Workshop 4.6.

If so is the upgrade downloadable anywhere

Sorry, never done it myself, but if you do a keyword seach on this forum for 2.6 and upgrade, there seem to be several threads which may be of help. Cheers.
