It depends what features you use. I recommend downloading the 60 day trial & giving it a go.
I did that, & upgraded straight away. I do quite a lot of photo editing, so it was well worth it for me. They main new features I use a lot are:
* Backfill flash - by clicking a single button you can bring out a lot of detail that was previously hidden in the shadows of a photo.
* History pallet - you can selectively undo an item in the history without undoing all the actions you performed after it
* Macro buttons - you can create icons for your macros now
* Mixer pallet - a place where you can mix colours together. You can create new colours using ones you've selected from a photo. You can also select from the mixture and use a pallet knife to apply it like paint to an image. Just like a real paint pallet, when you select a patch of paint there will be a few shades or colours on the knife so you end up with quite realistic effects. This will make more sense once you play with it in the demo
