It seems that I have to install new agents on all servers. But the settings in my jobs, do they stay? Or should I type everything down just in case? What is best to start with, to upgrade server first, or the agents?

Hi,

1. The settings in my jobs, do they stay?

The job won't change but you will definately have problems backing them up. You should go through the motions of recreating the job so BE cab rediscover the resources/agents.

2. What is best to start with, to upgrade server first, or the agents?

Definately server first. This way when you install the agents they will register with the server.

Agents such as Exchange and SQL are installed on the backup server not on the remote servers.
