Upgrade from BE 7 to 8.6 - Exchange 5.5 attach problem

We just upgraded to BE v8.6 to take advantage of the mailbox backup. Having a bear of a time with attaching with the service account's email account.

Already checked Exchange rights and NT rights. I am logged in as BE service account. BE is running on my exchange server --- do I need client mapi software on the server to get by the attach problem? Veritas documentation says no if running locally on exchange server.

Any other suggestions?
