Upgrade from 8.5 to 11. Problem with xml data access

I'm using an odbc connection which works for xml, when I use Crystal 8.5, but on upgrading to crystal 11 I get the following message:

Database connector error 'HY000:[datadirect][odbc xml driver][xml][closed integrator base] this provider is for use only with oem applications. Pls contact merant to obtain a licensed version.'

I am using cr odbc xml drive 5.0, and as I said before I don't see any reason why on upgrading we should get this message.

Help much appreciated.

This is an OEM error, not a crystal error. THis sounds like it is embedded in some application for reporting??? If it is then you need to have your vendor upgrade to CR XI as well. But they may not support it yet.

Which CR XI - Release 1 or Release 2 ?

If R2 then you need to upgrade to version 5.1 of the CR ODBC drivers for XML...
