Hi all.

I am trying to upgrade my system from 8.1.91 to 9.1.12 so I can go to 11.0.4.

I have 9.1.12 on my computer, go to file -> Advanced -> Upgrade.
When it asks for the password, I enter password, as it has not been changed.

I get a failed to transfer message.

Ok, so I did a AT-SECURITYRESETALL, and the Admin and security passwords are back to what they should be, so I am assuming the system password has gone back as well. Yet when I try to do the upgrade still fails.

Went into security settings, found the system password, reset it to something I know, and still fails.

Any ideas?

Regards

All you really had to do was reset the "system" password.

Chances are it's Windows messing things up, turn off all security stuff, firewall etc and try again. It should work.

Also, if you have monitor open you can trace the File Server to watch for errors when writing to the memory card.
Or enable HTTP tracing and watch for errors there.

Is there enough room on the SD card to copy the files? Some of the old 4 GB cards can get pretty full with old handset firmware.

sometimes you have to set the security level to low to make it take the upgrade

Had it that it got stuck because their firewall was blocking stuff (they were on different networks)

How did you buy the upgrade license for this? They have not been available for a while!

Why not go to R11, why stop at R9.1. You won't be able to add anything to this as pre R10 license are no longer on sale.

Hi All.

Ok, answers in no particular order...

Jamie. I'm not stopping at 9.1.12, I am going to 11.0.4... 9.1.12 was an intermediate step.
Westi. Changed the security level, didn't do anything for me. Reset the security settings, no change.

And the solution is:

It was my computer. Connected with another computer and things worked just fine!

Thank you, windoze...
