Upgrade From 3.6 to 4.0

I am researching upgrading from 3.6 to 4.0 can anyone tell me what pitfalls to watch out for and if sp2 has fixed the know issues with the calender sync

SQL Database is a major player unlike in 3.6. If it goes down so will BES.
Make sure the SQL server and BB Server both have latest MDAC.
Have 2.7 and 4.0 on all bb's.

Few gotchas with the new version.

I'm in the same boat as robros. We had 4.0 at my previous company, and i've inherited a 3.6 server here. I just want to make sure no one had any pain during the actual upgrade? I wasn't involved in previous upgrades, and wasn't the one who built the 3.6 server here. Anyone had to use support at rim or have problems with documentation?

MDAC 2.8 SP2 works great. Fixed a lot of issues. Installed last week.

Also make sure your server is 2003 sp1. That will run great.

Backup the DB before upgrading.

Another option is to build another new BES server and move users over.
