I was wondering how to upgrade an exisiting Access database that has linked tables to a SQL Server to an Access Project? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.
I have used the Access Upsizing Wizard with success on several Access 2000 mdb's. It did a good job and required very few changes on my part. Of course, a lot of this depends on how the mdb was developed.
Versions are important because Access Project first became available with Access 2000. I ran the upsizing wizard against an A2K database using SQL 7 on the back end and decided a rewrite was required. The tables came across fine, but ALL of the queries needed attention.
Recommend you have SQL 2000 and at least Access XP.
