Lardum:
I am trying to do the same and want to get to IOS 6.x. I can't get hold of the proper bin to get from 4.x to 5.x (only have 5.x to 6.x). One guy told me technique for creating boot diskette to get directly from 4.x to 6.x. Did you have any luck. Maybe you could give me a call at 800-437-7445 X18 with some pointers. Thanks!
I was successful on upgrading it to IOS 5.2. I haven't tried 6.X yet since i don't have that IOS. You can get a boot disk for upgrading the Pix on Cisco's website. I think you need a contract with Cisco to get the boot disk.
Lars:
Can you tell us how you did it. We have 5.2.3 & it keeps telling us the file is too large to fit on a floppy. My network guys are convinced we need 5.1.1, which is not available on the website & must be requested from Cisco.
Were you able to get from 4.4 directly to 5.2?
If so is there a trick to creating the floppy?
Is there a 5.2 version or is it 5.2.3?
