Hi Group,

I will need to upgrade a CICS from 1.0 to 7.1. I don't mind re-programming the whole system from scratch. My question is, can I just swap the software cartridge, boot up and re-program the system from scratch?

I thought I had experience upgrading one before from 1.0 to 6.1, and the system didn't boot up. I am not sure and haven't done it for a long time.

Can someone help please?

I didnt see the answer in that thread but reboot system, do a startup and choose what ever setting you want and when it states "applying template" wait 20 seconds then unplug the power.

Swap software , power up and wait

Thanks for the help.

Curlycord, the posted thread mentions that the cabinet needs to be Rls 2. Otherwise, it won't boot up. Is it true? Has that been confirmed?

Thanks.
