Upgrade BCM Expansion Gateway?

I just upgraded a BCM 400 from 3.6 to 4.0. The supplied material says if you have a BCM 1000 Expansion Gateway, that must be upgraded first with a different upgrade tool. Are they talking about the Expansion cabinet that most BCM 400s have, or something different?

Whoops! I should have checked post histories and I would have found out that my question had been answered on another post.

Expansion Gateway is different than a BCM expansion cabinet.
