Upgrade Avaya from 6.3 to 7?

Looking to upgrade Avaya 6.3 to 7 and am wondering what a high level number of steps would look like? Currently these services are all running on an HP Proliant server, and as part of this, we would like to install 7 fresh on VMware and migrate from there

Has anyone else done this, and is anyone else running other services on the VMware hypervisor besides Avaya?

Additionally, we are running Aura contact center 6.4

I'm facing the same task, though I thought of upgrading my existing installation "on-the-fly", dunno if it is possible.

A quick google search turned up this document on migrating from Avaya Aura 6.3 to 7.0.

It seems to be a process of backup on 6.3, install AVP and application OVAs, restore from backups. I'm not sure how much can be automated by System Manager.

Aura 7 is only AVP.
