Upgrade Advice XP to PS4 1

Hi,

Wonder if someone can review my upgrade plan in terms of its feasability.

We have 1 Metaframe XPS FR2 set up with a few apps published and about 20 users - so a fairly small Citrix Environment.

My upgrade plan is to remove Metaframe XP completely on the server. Then install PS4 with the same farm name, publish all the required apps with the same settings as used in XP.

This all worked fine on my test server.

The part that I am not confident with is the licensing - I believe I need to fulfil the new licenses on mycitrix.com and then down load the license file and apply to the server? Is that correct?

Any input/ advice gratefully received.

Thats correct, if you have licensing support, or whatever its called, you need to manually upgrade these to PS4 Lic files which are then uploaded to the License Server. (PS licensing no longer looks into the farm)
