Upgrade 4506 with additional WS-X4424-GB-RJ45

Hello,
I have run out of ports on my 4506 but have spare slots. I have found another card on ebay by searching for the part number on the existing cards in my switch (WS-X4424-GB-RJ45). The ebay chassis has three power supplies - I think it is a 4006 - whereas mine has two which makes me wonder if I can simply pull a card out of one "apparently similar" switch and put it in mine even though the card has the same part number?

Assuming you can simply swap in a card, is there anything else I need to do in the IOS to enable the card once inserted?

Yes, you can put it in your 4506, and no there is nothing you have to do to the IOS. Just hot-swap it.
