Upgrade 2K3 Standard to 2K3 Enterprise

Anyone upgrade a 2K3 SP1 Standard server to 2K3 Enterprise server? I am planning on just putting the enterprise media in and upgrading in place, not a migration. Server doesnt really do anything, its just a VMWare host and under used file server. Its a member server, no AD, DNS, DHCP or any network services running on it. Really just looking to see if anyone has done it and if you had any problems with the upgrade. Added thought, the server is 2K3 SP1 all patched up, the Enterprise media is pre SP1, figure i will have to install and or reinstall SP1 and all or most of the patches again after the upgrade.

Yes you will need to repatch the system. You may need to reinstall some or all of your software. Why not format the C drive while doing the install so that you are doing a clean install, then reinstall VMWare and reattach the client machines?

Well that makes some sense also, it is a very under used file server and really wouldnt be that hard to rebuild. Would take me about 3-4 hours to rebuild i would guess. I was thinking it isnt a big jump to go to enterprise and should do so pretty cleanly. I was thinking an upgrade would only take me about an hour or two even if i have to reinstall the patchs and service packs. Only reason im even doing it is because i want more than 4 gig of ram for my vmware guests. Only installed software on the box is vmware and a backup agent.
