I will be upgrading our 2000 DC's soon to 2003 and I am confident in the steps I need to take.
One of the DC's in a TS licensing server. The terminal servers (not DC's) will remain on W2K as most of our clients (500) are XP Pro or W2K Pro and these do not need a TS CAL to connect to W2K TS but will need one if the TS is running Server 2003. The cost of upgrading the T Servers would be quite high if we have to buy a TSCAL for all of our clients.
If the TS Licensing server is 2003 and the Terminal servers are 2000 will the clients still obtain a free TSCAL after the upgrade?
I would appreciate any input for this before I start the upgrade process.
