I was trying to uprade a 1000 2.0 to a 2.5 and it wouldn't work. I started the upgrade and then crashed in the middle of it. When I went and checked I found out the MSC card shows as a 1.0. Should this be able to be upgraded to a 2.5? I thought I had upgraded it to a 2.13 but it shows as 2.06.006 as a version number on the serial port?

I wouldn't wast my time trying to upgrade it to 2.5, I would put in a 20G and get a newer MSC card and upgrade to 3.6 or 3.7.

acewarlock is right. That said, the 2.5 will give you better mail and fairly stable IP capabilities. Make sure you go to 2.5 FP1

That MSC will upgrade to 2.5 FP1
Memory fails, but after a successful upgrade you will need to connect through the serial port to finish the upgrade.
Can't remember the process. Sorry.

Any issues with IP Trunking between a 2.5FP1 and 3.0 or higher?

I've got a couple 2.5FP1 systems talking VOIP to 3.0/3.5 systems, but haven't tried 2.5 to 3.6.

Only problem I have had with VOIP is if the system is using 3 digit Exten's, once I make them 4 digit they work fine.
