Upfront Login Problem

I have configured Cognos application on my laptop. I have used LAE as my mode of authentication for which I have used the sample LAE file provided by Cognos.

The problem I am facing is that Upfront is not allowing me to login while other applications like Impromptu, Architect, Publish report etc..are allowing to login.

The message I am getting is "Enter a user ID and password that is valid for Cognos applications"

I have also noticed that if I give a completly wrong user id and password - I get a different message "Your user id and password is incorrect. Please try again"

Can somebody help in this Upfront login problem.

I found the problem and replying to me own query.

The problem was due to an underscore in my computer name. I renamed my computer name to remove the underscore and the login to upfront worked fine.

I found this solution in an earlier post listing the same problem. It seems the server name cannot have some special characters and underscore in one of them.
