I need to keep word documents updated by way of access reports. Is it possible? Also, is it possible that once a database has been changed into a design master, can it be changed back to a "Normal" database?

Well there are a few options available to work with Word.
One is Mail merge which is supposed to be like a form with fill in informaion that comes from Access
If most of the informaiton in the Word Document stays the same then mail merge is the way to go.

Like:
Dear ___________ your notice of ___days past due ...

Access will fill in the "Mrs Smith" and "30"

Another method is Publish with Word. Look in Help

Note that DDE links between two Office programs is slow.
you neeed a FAST computer to make it fly
Or expect a 20-30 second delay for each merge.
I try to re-create the Word Doc as an Access Report if possible.

Not sure what means Design Master and Normal????
are you refering to .MDB and a .MDE
No you can not uncompile a .MDE. You keep the .MDB, make changes to it then re-compile to a new, over writing old .MDE.
