Updating Values in Custom tab of the function menu

Hi,

This might be a trivial question for some, so I apologise in Advance.

How do I use LivelinkAPI to update the values in the "General" or any Custom Tab, in the Functional Menu>Info>[TAB] section?

Any help greatly apprciated
