We have SharePoint Portal Services 2003 installed on "IP:8080" (where IP is one of our addresses like xxx.xxx.x.xxx). Our IT guy was asked to move SharePoint to the more normal portal 80, for an address of "IP". He was able to do that just fine, but then the users discovered a problem. Many of them have documents stored on SP that are hot-linked to other SP documents. The hot-links are of the form IP:8080/content/c4/.... Is there a way to globally edit the documents to remove the portal number of 8080?
Some of the "Useful Links" are also specified that way, and need to be updated as well. Is there an automated way to do that?
If this was covered in another question/answer, I'm sorry, I searched but could not find it.
Thanks,
Rosalie
