Updating today message

I just installed autocad's autodesk 3.3 When I start autocad I get a window "Autodesk Architectral Desktop 3.3

at the bottom of the window it says "please wait, updateing today and it just sits there.

What is it doing and why.

try install a new version of IE, try version 5.....ADT doesnt really like any versions less than that, I think there is a setup of IE on the CD, have a browse, install it, and see what happens Jay~
