Updating the directory at multiple sites in one go

I have a client with multiple Small Office systems each on a different sub net and all administered from a central office. They have one directory which is on each system but would like to update changes to the directory to all sites in one go, does anyone know of a way to do this? I think they will need to keep on updating each site one at a time, but would love to be told otherwise.
