This is probably a simplistic question for you guys but I would very
much appreciate your help.

I am a production DBA and the client site I'm now at have asked me to
think about ways of updating the contents of a table/s quickly for a
Web Site (Using Win2K, SQL2K, IIS5 and Commerce Server).

Let me elaborate a little. They are thinking along the lines of
Stored Procedures that get parameters fed to them during and after a
motor race (driver, position, race standing, overall position etc.) so
that they can keep it as real time as possible.

Help! I am not a developer/programmer so don't really know where to
start (although I do know my way around SP's and the way they are
constructed).

It need to be robust and quick so any thoughts, pointers, tips would
be great.

Regards

ALI

You should look into Active Server Pages (ASP). Tek-Tips forum333 is about ASP. You'll probably want to read about ASP at Microsoft.com or even purchase a book about ASP. Some MS web pages about ASP can be found at the following links.
