I have updated the kernel of Redhat 8.0 and need to update the system bootdisk. I have gotten the info from Redhat of how to use mkbootdisk, by su, getting the kernel, and placing the command of mkbootdisk --device etc. All I get is bash not a command.Cpu 1000 Athon, 512 memory, voodoo3 graphics.

Do you have the mkbootdisk package installed? If not, you'd have to download and install it before running [tt]mkbootdisk[/tt]. //Daniel

I assumed it was loaded since I found it in s/bin by searching. If this is not true I will try to find the package at redhat. Thanks

Did you try specifiying the full path to the command ([tt]/sbin/mkbootdisk[/tt]) instead of just [tt]mkbootdisk[/tt]? //Daniel

Yes. Tried it with all combinations of caps and lower case letters also no luck. Could there be another package or program that would have to be loaded for it to work.

Daniel,
Did not look close enough at your command. Tried it and it works. Great help. Thanks again.
