I have hopefully simple question.

At my company we create lots and lots of reports for the end users. The end users access this information through a Crystal Enterpise server.

Right now, if we make a change to any of these reports we have to delete the report from the enterpise server and then re upload it to the enterpise.

Then re create the schedules and other settings that may have been setup for these reports.

I am faily new to this so any help would be great.

Thanks,

If the refresh button will refresh the report for the file that is placed.
frs://Input/...../111111111111111.rpt

Where can we find that file?

Well I found where the file store is, so I am guessing adjusting that rpt file and then clicking the refresh button in the admin console will do the trick.

Is there any setting on the nameing conventions of the report files being like placed like 4 or 5 subfolders down.

No need to overwrite the file in the File Store - check out for a recent thread that addressed this issue.

Basically, all you need to do is Save As and save your report to the Enterprise destination. This will let you overwrite the version of the report on the Enterprise server. If you're using a version older than BOXI you will need to re-enter the db username/password every time you do this.

If you're running CE/CR 9 you may need to download an update from the BO website to allow CR to save to the Enterprise, as CE 9 was released after CR 9.

Ok.. Kind of figured it out. Was able to open the report from "Enterprise". But recieved a crital error when trying to save the report to the APS.

This may have to do with the Entrpise server is a few thousand miles away and housed on our parent companies network.
