I'm a little lost when it comes to Access so please bear with me.

I have an Inventory table and an Equipment Type table. Both tables have their own separate forms. If somebody changes the name of an Equipment Type in the Equipment Type form, I would like it to automatically update all the instances of the "old" Equipment Type to the "new" type in the Inventory table.

Is this even possible and if so, is there a way for it to be done automatically?

Any help would be great. Thanks!

Equipment type should be a foreign key in the Inventory table, so there is no need to do any changes if somebody changes the description of the equipment type.
