Updating PS from external Oracle table

We are using PeopleSoft 7.5 on Oracle platform and are doing some web integration

I am investigating the possibility of updating a large no. of records (more than 500) into possibly multiple (2- 3) PeopleSoft panel groups from an external Oracle database.

- Has anyone done this before using Message Agent / other approach?
- What are the risks of processing such a large no. of rows using the Message Agent?

Any information relevant would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your message.

We have data currently being maintained in an Oracle database through a web interface.

These data needs be updated into PeopleSoft.. What we want to do is to update PeopleSoft fields for 500 employees in a single batch process..

I'm not sure if using the PS Message agent is the best way to go about doing that. Please advice..
