I have recently upgraded our WI to 2.6.2
However, we found out that we were not given the proper product keys. We were given the keys for WI InfoView and not the Reporter/Explorer. Given this...is there any way to replace this product key w/o doing a complete re-install?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dont know where else they might be stored but they are in a txt file called license.txt in the BusinessObjects directory structure. I believe the keys are just used to protect the contents of the cd and are not checked on ther machine when the software runs, so maybe you should justy leave it as it is if the key you have used has installed the correct software.

Bobward--
I have the correct software installed, but I do not have all the functionaliity (reporter/explorer) available to me.
When I click on one of the reporting options, it states that I do not have the correct product key.

Right. I see. when in the setup program if programs are greyed out then it means the product key you have entered is not valid. If you tick a product which is greyed out it will ask you for a new license key. If the one you enter here is telling you its valid then i suggest you speak to BusinessObjects for a correct key.

Also as an aside.I seem to remeber problems with the setup routine in that it wouldnt let you tick a product set group e.g. WebIntelligence you had to tick each option in the sub folder seperatley

BobWard--
Thanks for responding back...
I contacted BO yesterday and they realized the problem, and simply emailed me the new product_key. The question I have is, can I simply replace the product_key w/o having to do a complete re-install?

you can have more than one Product Keys for BO and as i said these are not used when the software runs only on the install. I dont believe you can remove the used key apart from editing the license.txt file
