Updating/patching qmail

I've been using qmail on an old linux server for my family's 6 email accounts for about 2 years. We only receive a handful of email a day. I use YUM to keep the packages updated (I'm running Fedora Core-3 now). But I haven't done anything to update qmail itself. I already have all of the qmail functionality that I need, but are there any security reasons for updating/patching qmail? Thank you in advance for your help.

qmail doesn't have any material security issues that are worth patching for... you're in good shape
