Hi all.
I have successfully created a master / detail web page setup which links with an SQL database. Both pages use a details view control to view and add data. Everything works fine but i have one small thing that bugs me.. In order to add a new detail entry for any master record - i have to remember the MasterID and manually type the number into the MasterID field on the child view.
I have used visual web developer which i believe uses VB.net so i have posted this here, hoping that some helpful soul will advise me how i can add the MaterID to the child page automatically?
Thanks for your time.
Regards
Ian

Visual web developer uses VB.NET, C# and/or both at the same time (development per page).

This you are asking does not have to do with visual basic itself. Try forum855.

I will asnwer you though.
To "save info":
- Query string,
- Session variables, or
- Have a class and save there your temporary info
