Hi all, I have an Access database that has been split (BE and FE). The users only get the runtime version of Access. I want to send the user an install package that will add new fields to the BE. How do I do this? I am using Office XP Developer.

Thanks for your help,
Bill

Bill,
I create a FE and place it on a server that the use can access. Then in the past I e-mailed them a .bat file that installed the file. Now since we cannot e-mail .bat files any more I send them a link to the storage site and have them run the .bat file there.

Hope this helps.

tledwards, thanks for the response. What I need to know is what goes in the bat file. A sample of the code would be great.

Thanks,
Bill
