updating GRC.DAT after name change

I am having to change the name and IP address of the NAV CE Primary server this weekend, how do I get NAV to update the GRC.DAT file with it's new name so I may copy it to the clients or do I have to manually edit the file?

HI.

*AFTER* configuring the new server, you should copy the GRC.DAT from the VPHOME share of the new server to the specific folder on the clients.
The location you need to copy this file to, depends on the client OS and also the version of NAVCE - Read the relevant docs in Symantec site.

You can use login scripts to do the copy, and you can use my utility NETRUN to do it only once instead of each login:
